Wonder why Noordwijk ann Zee hosted so many international competiotions?! In a spot very close to the amazing Amsterdam (only 43 km) you can find constant wind for all kite levels, a great vibe and a laid back atmosphere. There are some kiite schools in the north side of the beach and it's really a good spot for beginners since there's an area dedicated only for them. What are you waiting for?
Depending on depressions. Usual directions are 30% sw, 20% w, 20% nw (frontal on shoreline), 10% n, 20% other. Best wind direction is from sw or ne. During spring and autumn blows from sw and during summer from ne.
Generally Wavy, depending on tide. Best conditions are when there's high tide with wind directions from n and ne and low tide with wind directions from the s and sw.
The beach is huge but it is not allowed to kite in front of the two boulevards, except for the spot of the surf club, on the south boulevard, but you have to be part of the club, or in front of the schools in the north side, but only during lessons. Langervelderslag is for everyone.
There are good Airbnb options at the beach front in Noordwijk. If you prefer more lifely evenings, you may want to stay in Amsterdam, easily accessible by a 30 mins train or by car.
A car is needed to get around and to reach other spots. By train you can onlu get to town and to the kitesurfing schools. You can park for free at the Beethovenweg. Distance to the beach is approx. 200 meters.
